A half eaten cupcake and a tractor

My Mother's Day was crazy. I was baking, packing and delivering the goods. With the bakehouse, holidays are bittersweet for me. They are usually my busiest times and require a lot of me. Ever since I started WWB i look at holidays in a whole new light.

In addition to building and running a small business I am also married and have two small children. Annika 5 and Ian 3 are two crazy, creative, smart and cunning children. Occasionally on the weekends when we are closed they tag along when I have a few things to attend to. You can always tell the day after they have spent time in the bakery with me on the weekend....on Monday the girls will find treasures in odd places or there will be bowls of science experiments, as Annika calls them, hidden in the kitchen. Even though we have "Bakery Rules", mysteriously cupcakes still get eaten and experiments still get concocted.

Ginger and Kristen aren't surprised anymore when they find treasures....like the time Kristen came into the kitchen a few Saturdays ago and asked if Ian was here on Friday with me. I said "yes, why?" She smiles and holds up a half eaten cupcake and a toy tractor.
