Lick my beater

www.myspace.com/wiredwhiskbakehouse

I have dusted off the Wired Whisk myspace and we are officially adding friends! So come join us and meet other WWB lovers! You'll also find tons of pics meet some pretty cool people. Best of all I have embedded our SNN6 news spot with Bruce Asbury on the site so you can watch at will. When I think back to the day I taped that, all I can remember is Ginger yelling into the phone "oh my god it's bruce asbury....oh my god oh my god!"

He just showed up...I wasn't even in the bakehouse! I was at home in bed fighting a cold. I called G-Unit to see how things were going when the SNN6 van pulled up. So he asked if we could be camera ready in a half hour. I said "sure why not?!" So I jetted over and we shot the piece. It was a lot of fun and we still get comments about it. A british couple came is yesterday and said they saw the segment while they were in London on a BBC America affiliate. No lie! I feel like doing a Molly Shannon "Superstar!"

It's Steve Zander!

Ian Ziering was kind enough to chat with us and take a pic at Night of 1000 Stars that was held at Michaels on East. My friend Robin is in front with the glasses and Ginger is my retail queen here in the Bakehouse. He was nice to us...Some of my other friends got the total blow off from him. At least Ginger didn't try to lick him!

More of "The Blurr"

Here are some pics of our booth at the World Cinema Celebration street party....another SFF event. Yes, that is a real fish in the fish bowl! Props again to Kristen for the amazing job on the cupcake tower...that was a brutal day. We did the Luncheon under the Banyans for 400 and then jetted back to the bakehouse and whipped out 800 mini cupcakes and about 1200 pieces of bars & brownies....it was all gone in about 2 1/2 hours! Piece of cake!

This event was awesome. I met so many people and we did tons of photo ops. The press coverage was pimp....we were all over the place the next day!

A Blurr

So the past two weeks have been a blurr. I went running headlong into the Sarasota Film Festival and things haven't stopped yet! I was a SFF Sponsor. I made cupcakes and hand decorated cookies for several events and I must say the experience was humbling and unforgettable. Not to mention the response hit the bakehouse like a tidal wave!
Above are two pictures from the Luncheon Under the Banyans event that was held at Selby Gardens. That is me with international film star Liv Ullman. She LOVED the cupcakes I created for the event which are pictured above that. We made and plated over 400 "So naughty, so nice" cupcakes for the event. The were chocolate cakes filled with cream cheese frosting dipped in ganache finished with white chocolate shavings and raspberry coulis. Props to Kristen and the Local Coffee crew inside Selby that helped me whip these like out like professionals :]

Oh my gatos!

For those of you new to the Wired Whisk...let me explain. We are quirky. We are silly. We ramble. Worst of all we laugh at things that aren't really that funny....a lot. So "oh my gatos" is a creation of Alfredo the baker. Whenever something goes awry or we are feeling the push, Alfredo throws in an "oh my gatos" and things begin to perk up. So here is why my very first post is titled as such: Oh my gatos, Christine finally got around to setting up the blog!
